Just started drawing again after being artistically dormant for many years (17 give or take) so, please bear with me as I try to find my 'muse' again while shaking off all the rust.
I am a self taught hobbyist who had always enjoyed drawing (mostly with pencil and paper) and had even considered at one time majoring in Fine Arts while in college- much to the delight of my ever encouraging, exceedingly generous and astoundingly thoughtful high school art teacher (that's right Abby Rust... I'm looking at you, luv).
But, sadly enough... that whole idea just never did pan for me out since both RL and my family had other plans for me. *sniff*
And so... I now find myself here on DA wanting to try to create my own fan art (whenever RL allows me the much needed time to indulge) for such beloved fandoms as A Song of a Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Supernatural and The Hobbit. All the while, as I also try to teach myself how to draw again and maybe even eventually learn how to paint in both Painter 12 and PS CS5- since in the past, I never could make heads or tails of the bewildering medium traditionally.
So I think it's pretty much safe to say, that I really do have my work cut out for me, don't you think?
Aaah, the awesome fandoms that kick-start one's muse ... you just gotta love em.
